Works well. Tested with the key in the pocket, pressed the key button on the outside of the pocket and found the car door lock would not open. Sometimes stopping the car from unlocking helped, sometimes not. Therefore, always close the lid for full protection when storing keys. This item was purchased to store two keys in it. The size is ok and it doesn't allow the car to see the key even if it's next to the car, but you have to make sure the keys are in the back compartment and the lid is closed. My car has a start button and I needed to increase security so I bought this case, a Faraday cage to keep the signal from the car keys from leaking away to thieves. When the keys are in my pocket, I cannot open or start the car. Excellent. It's been working for a few weeks now. I've read some reports that it stops working after a while, but I think that's because if you keep your keys too, it can scratch and damage the inside, causing weakness. I keep 2 of my car keys in a bag and keep the keys separate so as not to damage the interior. The bag is large, in the photo I have 2 keychains and there is room for many more.
