*MBPR 2012 15" (changed only the left fan) plastic and mounting holes DO NOT MATCH. After installing two of the three mounting screws (they are aligned), you can see the entire fan housing flexing in a distorted manner because it is misaligned Installing the third to last mounting screw flexes the plastic housing even more and it had to (see photo) cut the plastic tab on the side to allow the screw to fit even into the hole. Luckily, this particular screw (all individual machine screws have different designs) has a very wide head. I turned on the laptop with the back cover off (I didn't trust the product so much after installation) and checked that the fan was spinning smoothly. It works, but compared to the stock fan (right/old) which I didn't replace, the Pardarsey fan isn't quiet. Let's see how long this lasts and I'll update. In my opinion these Padarsey fans are overpriced for what they are. By the way, there are no instructions in the box. You should know that about a year ago (that's how long I've lived with fan noise) I bought iFixit fans for my 2012 MBPR 15" and discovered the ugly truth: iFixit swore the fans were new, but upon close inspection deep inside dust caked in places that escaped the notice of who cleaned them even though they were nice and clean "like new" on the outside - a closer look inside with a flashlight revealed fraud (all lies). Eventually they half admitted it and feigned surprise and I got my money back. After some research I found out that there are no new and old fans in stock (Apple doesn't sell them to anyone) and everything you buy online claims to be OEM - it's all Asian alley snippets - no joke. While the Padarsey fans don't claim to be original (just a cheap aftermarket copy), I'd rather take a chance with the cleaned up original lead. Here's what I think of the Padarsey product. Nothing bad, not disturbing, but it is.
