Review on 🔩 Mueller Industries 1.5 inch PVC Union, 1.5-Inch SXS by Fuzzhead Nelson

Neat PVC fit. All plastic parts are correctly formed and fit together well. Even the O-ring is properly seated in its groove. However, there were several notches on the sealing surface where the O-ring runs. I decided to turn this surface on a lathe to ensure a tight seal, but not everyone can do this. The worst thing about this mix is that it differs from the Revain image. The label says it was made in China by BK Products, which also doesn't match Revain's listing. This is the reason why this worthy product lost a star. Some people say that the threads on this joint are different from other joints of the same size. For reference, I measured the external thread: 74.4mm OD, 4.0mm pitch. I think this thread is special and you can't expect it to match other fittings made by any other company.
