Like many others, I really liked the can opener when it was new, but after months/years of daily use, cans wouldn't open without a few passes. And doing multiple passes has resulted in people complaining about tiny metal shavings. So I decided to take the opener apart (4 screws on the back) and see if I could find a way to fix it. In short, the red arrow in the picture points to the cutting assembly. The blade is stationary, but at the same time round. The black arrow points to the screw that secures the blade. Loosen the screw and you can twist the blade a bit to get a fresh edge. I rotated the blade and within 3 days I had perfectly cut glasses like new. If you try this it might be a good idea to make a vertical line on the face of the blade so you know where to avoid later if you have to do it again. XTX, YMMV. :-)
