This is a very strong magnet, strong enough to hold heavy power tools as long as they have enough metal to make contact. However, the 13-inch version is just too short to be very useful unless you want to hold multiple tools. Another issue is that the screw holes are spaced about a foot apart, meaning only one screw can access the stud. If you have thick wallboard this can still work, but if not you're limited to relatively light tools. Arcan's 24" Magnetic Tool Holder Rail has screw mounts spaced 16" apart and I'm only slightly more expensive. I ordered it after trying this "too short" version.
