I'm 46yo, 6'1, 295, work out, have a 12 4E flat foot and I've been rough on my body over the years. I hurt. It starts in my heels, through my ankles, up my legs and into my back, can happen within one hour of walking and then it's almost crippling and can leave me sore for days. I've researched until I'm blue in the face, found all the info I could on plantar fasciitis and purchased several quality insoles and these cups. I've concentrated on insoles with a good heel cup and arch support and bought expensive shoes and boots. Nothing worked. They got tossed in the closet and my money down the drain.The other day I came across these heel cups and thought that I would try something new. Maybe I don't have P.F. The heel cups never really fit well because my feet are so wide and my heel never would settle in so, I grabbed pair of scissors and trimmed away all the gel material down to where the ridges start, put them in my shoes and placed a standard insole over them.The pain stopped immediately! I'm walking around like a young guy again without limping, leg or back pain. I assume over the years I've beat down the rear of my heels and these cups compensate for the lack of natural cushion.I just ordered two more sets.
