Good product and very easy to use. The inovative cover allowing you to switch modes without having to press a button or toggle something on the thermometer was nice. There is an automatic shut-off feature which we liked as well to help remember to shut the unit off. The one negative issue we had was around the battery cover, but we did figure that out after the second attempt. There was a nice insert available for explaining the accuracy of each mode which was helpful for us. Our doctor had recommended and ear thermometer and this fit the bill for us and our children. The mute feature was an added plus on this model so we could take our child's temp without waking them up, you know the saying let the sleeping dragon be. That is certainly one of them when they are feeling sick and icky.
