Review on Intel Core i7-4770K 3.4GHz Processor by Ken Coste

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Make no mistake: Computer Components

Before making the purchase, I spent a lot of time comparing the latest Intel and AMD processors. I really wanted to give AMD a chance. In general, you can get almost the same good performance for less with an AMD chip. In the end, I chose the i7 4770k for its single and multi-core performance over alternatives. This is done on a computer primarily used for transcoding media and games. Without overclocking, with an EVO 212 CPU cooler and a Corsair Carbide 500R case, this processor runs for hours at 32 degrees Celsius under full load. The small overclock I've done so far has been easy and very stable on my motherboard (Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H). If you don't want to overclock, the non-K version of this processor will do.
