If you own Dept 56's rustic decorations, you probably know that their bulbs are slightly different than those you can buy at your local discount store. I prefer all my bulbs to be the same color and tint, so I try to buy genuine Dept supplies. 56 if I can. Also, their onions are blunt on the ends to better fit the rustic pieces. And I don't really know much about the quality of electrical cords, but they seem to me to be more durable than some of the other types on the market. This is a real accessory Dept. 56 as advertised and works well but I have found (because it was on my wish list) that the price fluctuates wildly throughout the year. I was going to buy a pair sometime in July when the price was less than half what it is today (twenty-five, roughly) but forgot and ended up paying about twenty in late November instead. So if you like them, put them on your wish list and check back every few weeks or so - if there's any sign of last year there will be better deals in the 'off-season'.
