Review on Tovatec Aluminum Thunderbolt Pass Through Charging by Shawn Mcfee

No ethernet, but oh well. This is a good alternative to Apple Key

I love my MBP and I understand where the USB-C trend is going. Also, I like this trend. One connector type offers flexibility and I like that. The downside is that until this trend continues, I'll be stuck with legacy connections. and I hate that Apple has snow white keys for the rather sleek space gray MBP. It just looks sticky. So this adapter caught my eye. Color and finish go very well together. It is also reversible and fits either side of the MBP. The connections work as expected and I love having the device close to the body of the MBP instead of being connected with a cable like Apple's. This means that it is not flush with the MBP, the adapter sits a little higher. Design limitations also prevent it from offering an Ethernet port, so it still sticks with the dongle if I want to go without Wi-Fi. It offers good utility and is a very viable Apple branded key replacement. It has a few extra bells and whistles (I like that it has two USB-C passes instead of one, for example) and it's nice to have a memory card reader. That's what I have in my bag and I use it quite often. This is a good product.
