Fits well. The sole feels good and has a good grip. From the outside it looks like research. I couldn't test the water resistance. I liked it at first, but after a bit of abuse the insole of the sneakers started falling apart. The insole rises slightly on the sides. The lining of the insole came off and rolled down the side and clumped. I don't know what to do but the sneakers are basically new except for this issue. To make matters worse, the insoles feel glued in, making them difficult to repair by cutting or regluing. Breathable insoles are the main attraction of this brand, but when they fall apart and need to be replaced with regular insoles, there's no point. This is the second pair (different model) that the insoles have failed so I think the Sketchers are done although the fit and comfort was good before the insoles failed.
