So a great lamp in terms of functionality. I lets you set a timer and the LED intensity on different channels and even has a sunrise and sunset option. However, if you lose power, the time will reset. In my recent experience, no other configurations have been lost. I'm not sure why the time needs to be reset, but the rest of my configuration was fine. It has great configuration options. It's pretty customizable for the price. Make sure you read the brief instructions ahead of time to understand the codes and button presses. The white LED is not entirely white. Only white without blue is really ugly. I always have blue and white. In fact, I reduce the intensity of the white a bit to around 50% to give the tank more blue during the day. I noticed that there is some green spectrum mixed into the white channel which may be causing this. White and blue are on different channels so you can have a white timer and a separate blue timer with different intensities. My favorite part is the sunrise and sunset in the upper part of town. There is a setting to turn the light on fully or use the sunrise-sunset option. Sunrise and sunset are the hardest in just 15 minutes. My setup includes white at 50% intensity and blue at 100% intensity in the late morning. The white fades in the early evening and blue moonlight appears, and after a few hours the blue fades into the night. I would buy again at this price. I would also ask the manufacturer to supply brighter white LEDs for better white.
