Had no issues with leds lighting up. Uses 2 aaa batteries. Has an on/off switch & "volume" sensitivity dial. I used it at an outdoor rock concert, the music was so loud the mask stayed all the way lit entire time. Before the music started talking thru the mask it activated correctly & I received a lot of compliments. Uses velcro like material to adjust size & had small ear loops to keep in place. Cloth material kinda thick & was hot wearing it. Would have really sucked to be dancing & breathing heavy with it. Leds won't be noticed in daytime, but dusk till dark was great.
