Review on Aquasana AQ 5300 3-Stage Replacement Cartridges: High-Performance Refills for Crystal-Clear Water by Justin Fletcher

I was able to use the original Aquasana unit until it came time to change those filters. I've read about leaks from this unit but I'm a pretty handy guy and while I'm not a plumber I certainly understand the basics and am more than capable of installing a water filter. And they have. However when it came time to change the filters I removed the filter housing, installed these new filters and put the filter housing back into the manifold (main unit) and then literally spent a week trying to get it various ways. to stop flowing. Finally, I just realized the damage this can easily do, and given the time and hassle already expended, it caused me to take these filters and the rest of the original Aquasana filtration system and toss it all. Literally. It's just not worth it. Replaced by the brondell block, which is the same except EXCEPT. Filter and filter housing are in one piece. I will not recommend Aquasana to anyone.
