I have another Massca universal clamp with an almost identical clamp/ratchet mechanism. I like this clamp very much. Tons of holding power. This clamp is the same except the fixed end is designed to fit into a slot on a rail saw or pocket hole gauge. I was hoping this would work on my Kreg pocket hole gauge but it doesn't. However, I have already found multiple uses for this clamp with various homemade jigs and jigs in my shop. A complaint. The metal rod at the fixed end bent quite a bit right after unpacking. You can see it in one of the photos I posted with the red clamp square. Luckily, I was able to easily bend it back without any issues. But I wasn't particularly impressed with how easily it could be bent. The connection to the main stem also looks a bit fragile, as you can see in one of the photos. The clamp is very intuitive to use. The design of the ratchet is radically different from most cheap quick release/quick release rod clamps. It has a TON of holding power. And it's all metal (aluminum alloy steel) with carbon steel rod. Everything runs smoothly and feels secure. There's no padding on the movable side, which doesn't pose a problem if you pinch the underside of a bench or build table. But it will definitely damage the wood if you pinch it directly on the material, which is quite common with chainsaws. Overall, I'm very impressed with the Massca clips. The design, build quality and materials have resulted in a highly efficient professional tool that will last a very long time in my workshop. For this particular product, I'm a bit concerned about the durability of the solid metal end, which seems to bend fairly easily.
