I'll warn you right away that they're trying to get ninety bucks for replacement filters, which is about half the price of the entire package right now. I knew they really would cheat on you, but that's a little crazy. I would advise you to think seriously before buying. I assume some generics will eventually become available, but it seems like they went to great lengths to make them different just to get more out of their customers. While this is normal company behavior, it doesn't mean I can't hate them for it. It's enough to make me give this one star but I think it's really unfair so I'm trying to just focus on the product. First, I really like the real blender. It's made of stainless steel and looks and feels quite heavy and of good quality, unlike most if not all others I've seen. It is great. Conversely, I find it ridiculous that the "T" they give you to touch your waterline is plastic. Why not brass? I think that's not the part where they should try to save money. But in normal installations this is an easy connection (but it would be easy if it were brass too). The other thing that makes a big difference is that you only need to connect one inlet pipe and one outlet pipe. I have a reverse osmosis filter in my basement (workshop so I don't have to go upstairs to the barefoot area just to get water) and there are literally 10-20 taps. I don't care if there's a sewer nearby, but it's overkill for the finished part of the house. And she is small. In fact, I bought it for the upstairs sink so I don't have to run downstairs in the middle of the night to get water when I wake up crazy thirsty. It is very compact and easy to install. I have an entire house filtration system modified for my kitchen sink that doesn't waste water like a reverse osmosis system. City water is safe and all, but chlorine makes it taste bad. I think it's appropriate to filter all the water from the kitchen sink when washing veggies etc in the kitchen aside from just washing your hands. RO is too much for a place where the water is safe because it wastes so much water. But just filtering the water you drink in this setup seems perfect for my upstairs bathroom. Anyway, I hope they get real in replacement filter prices. I think that will likely change depending on how many people buy it first. And of course, we're more likely to see third-party offers if many of them are even sold. But for a sink that only filters drinking water, it lasts quite a while. A. I also love that they provide actual test results on the effectiveness of their filters on water containing a wide variety of contaminants.
