does the job well for xbox one

I must have gotten the wrong product that got such bad reviews. Sure the fan is a little noisy but nothing to interfere with gaming or using the x box for that matter. I bought this as an extra power source so I can take my X-Box to a friend's house without unplugging everything from the TV. Perfect for this, and it looks and feels very OEM-like. The only drawback is that the fan runs at full speed all the time (and that doesn't bother me).
