I'm 5' 9" so the length was incredible.So I am currently 30" waist and 39" butt/thighs, a little lower than hips at my widest point, and I ordered a large. I can pull it right on without unbuttoning. I like exactly how it hugs my bum, but it's billowy below, and there's a slight bunching of fabric around the waist/hips. So I can tell if I order the medium it will fit nicely everywhere but hug my butt more than I prefer from a skirt.I have an old denim skirt that flattens my butt and holds everything in, it's solid denim. This is modern stretchy denim. Not bad. Comfy. Just be aware it will mold itself around you. It's a very mermaid style, which I couldn't really tell from the pictures.It's a return for me, guys, but probably a lovely skirt for another body type.The black is nice, looks like the picture, not jet-black but not faded or distressed.
