Review on 🏠 Samsung SmartThings GP-U999SJVLBAA Magnetic Motion Sensor (White) - Advanced Home Security Device, Hygienic Design - 1 Count (Pack of 1) by Marvin Perry

This is an update to my review from a few weeks ago when I gave the motion sensor (2nd gen) only 1 star as it was consistently undetectable. Instead of returning it, I kept trying to reset it, but this proved unsatisfactory. I ended up just opening the device, removing the battery and putting it back in, and everything has been working fine ever since. He never falls. He notices movement immediately. I've created an automation that will alert two SmartThings outlets to turn on when they detect motion. One is for the hot water circulating pump for our water heater so I can turn it on in the kitchen and bathroom as soon as it senses movement (I set it for an hour then turn it off so when I leave home, hot water stops the circulation). The other is for the counter-mounted hot water tap (to make tea/coffee), so it's on and only available when it detects motion. I highly recommend this device and can offer many uses.
