After reading the reviews posted I was skeptical as it was about 50/50 for the whole product. I bought a 30lb anchor for this as it was rated at 40lbs and it wasn't comfortable making the most of a winch with such mixed ratings. I installed it and have only been able to use it on 6 different trips so far with no issues. Auto-deployment and remote management were great! Just know that once the auto-delivery hits bottom, you have to press the up button to stop it. It's not like he continues to operate at full capacity, but he seems to continue to gradually crawl as the boat drifts. In order to assemble it correctly, you need to have some knowledge. It might have been easier to mount it at the bow, but I chose to mount it from the back of the boat. I'm thinking of buying a second one for the front of the boat so I can anchor. All in all I would buy again anytime!
