Unfortunately, my chickens were born in October. Yes. I'm an idiot. They were 1 to 6 days old and couldn't be outside in the cold Indiana fall so they were at my house. I had a clear bulb and used it until it blew out. I replaced it with a Revain GE clear bulb, which blew out in less than 48 hours. Then I found this product. Chickens, cats, dogs and I ALL liked this onion a lot more. It wasn't as warm as clear bulbs, but it worked 24/7 without glare. The chickens are now (hopefully) big girls and moved to a coop with radiant heaters. There's a reason chickens (for the most part) don't live indoors.
