I know the transmission limit is 45ft but I was hoping it would work. No way. It works great in my metal van body, but as soon as you drive it it loses signal and says no camera is connected, or outputs a long refresh rate, neither of which is satisfactory. I've spent over $650 on a BC 35 and RV 785 camera, which I know are the only camera and Nuvi combo that "works" and they won't work together when they're on attached to a caravan. What was Garmin thinking? That nobody ordering a navigator wants to put a camera on the back of a van. The time for me to give this back to Revane is over so I'm sticking with it. I know others are saying third party extension cords will work with the BC 35 camera, but the cord specs don't match, so I doubt they'll work. Also, those third-party cables are way too short to help. I think since I'm stuck with this Garmin junk I'll experiment with it a bit and see if I can plug an extension cord in. If it works great, if not I'm just losing the cost of a piece of six wire cable. Pox on you Garmin!
