This is my second Jebao wave generator. The last died 5 years later. Good life for money for me. I saw negative reviews, but still decided to buy a new model. Works great so far but just got it. I'll update if anything happens. These other people must have lemons. I gave 4 stars for the noise because I can hear something but it's not easy to notice unless your face is next to the tank and I really have nothing to compare it to. I have the smallest one for my 29 Biocube and it's too strong as it keeps filling up with an explosion. I like the random setting known as "other" mode. That's how I ran the last pump. Don't be afraid to try this product. Worth the money compared to something like vortex pumps
