Very light blanket. It has a tight fabric that keeps your body warm in cool or cold seasons. I live in central Florida, where the temperature dips below freezing several times a year, but typically the cold spells are between 30 and 50 degrees. It's perfect for warmer evenings when we're in our 40's and older. I don't use the main heating in the winter (I have small space heaters) to save on my electricity bills and this throw is perfect for my sofa where I usually fall asleep. I took off a star because it smelled like chemicals the first time. that I used it. I recommend washing it before use (according to the instructions on the label). Also, I think it's perfect for me because it doesn't get too hot in the warmer months, and in the colder months that I'm in it keeps my body heat and keeps me comfortable.
