Raspberry Pi 3 (RPi 3) is a complete system with excellent computational power. However, without a camera RPi 3 is essentially blind.I teach an RPi 3 course in Cogswell College in San Jose, CA which has Face Recognition (FR) as part of the curriculum. We found this camera to provide sufficient resolution and other capabilities to make our FR project a complete success.It does require fastening four little screws for its installation, however with Cana Kit’s flat ribbon that is provided it only takes plugging that cable in to easily get this going. There is also no need to separately download/install any additional device drivers since they are all there. My students made a fixture to mount this camera like the headlights in front of a car.At $22.00, the product features including dual cameras make this a reasonable product for a finely crafted device.
