I have a Wyze camera in my backyard and it has built in IR that isn't really designed to illuminate something like this and it was totally inadequate. For the money I decided to give it a try and it made a HUGE difference. Build quality is good, but as this is an outdoor unit I would have liked to see some sort of weatherproof power connector. The metal bracket and ball joints are solid and the device has some weight. The light projection is very good and can illuminate the entire backyard from the second floor of my house. The difference in the images with the lights on and off is enormous. I think even if you have a decent outdoor camera something like this is a really inexpensive way to add a lot more light if you want.
