I ordered this blanket to put on our new futon that my two young granddaughters will sleep on when they come over for Thanksgiving. When it arrived I was surprised at how light it is, I was expecting it to be a little heavier. It felt very soft and comfortable so I decided to keep it as time was running out. I always put my sheets and clothes in the washer and dryer before using them, here's what I did with the comforter. He washed and came out in a loose heap and heap. I figured it would mostly go away after tumble drying. But after the dryer it got even worse. My husband and I put it on the dining table and ate as much as we could. I ran it through the dryer one more time and it was still covered in loose lint and fluff. My husband took it outside and hung it over the deck railing with a leaf blower to try and blow it off. We then used a small shop vacuum to suck it up but to no avail. Finally, I ran it through the dryer two more times; once with warmth, the second time only with air. When it came out it was still covered in loose fluff, but not as fluffy balls. I hope it cleans well as the little girls and I loved the feel and weight of the blanket and it kept them warm. I think it will work fine in the end.
