I use this because it was recommended by the vet. After using it for three months I can't say I see any evidence that this gel made a difference. However, it may be too early to tell. Once a day I put something on my cat's paws and they lick it off. My cats will not let me apply the gel directly to their gums, which is common for many cats. Instructions on some bottles (including product images here) are incomplete. There are several versions of the bottle design and I received some old bottles. The PetzLife website recommends using it twice a day to remove plaque and tartar, and 2-3 times a week as a preventive measure. Also pay attention to the dosage. My cats hate the taste. They run away when they see the bottle. They will shake their paws to wash off the gel. I tried both mint flavor and salmon flavor. For some reason, the taste of salmon is also minty.
