I don't fry often and hate frying because of the mess I have to clean up afterwards. When I fry food I usually make it worthwhile because of the cleaning. This freewall is amazing. Make sure you have a pan with sloping sides, not vertical ones. It takes a few minutes at first, but once you know how to do it, there won't be any problems. The only problem is that if you want to fry a lot at once and change the oil, you have to remove the apron to do so. It's quite big and flexible (silicone) when you take it off. If I have to do that I put it in the sink, change the oil and put it back on the sump. Haven't tried hand washing yet; I put it directly on the top rack of the dishwasher. It survives the wash cycle perfectly. I keep it in a cylindrical Tupperware container and put the container in the cupboard along with the pots and lids. I have recommended this product to my friends.
