Review on Aprilaire 4839 Humidifier Maintenance Kit - Water Panel Model No. 35 Replacement filter for Models 600, 600A, 600M by Richard Bowens

I actually only ordered this for the bracket and tray but it was nice to get all the extra parts. I am keeping them for a future replacement. This came with all mounting hardware from the solenoid to the humidifier (plus a new hose not shown in the product photos), a humidifier base gasket for the drain tube, a new gasket, a black bracket and a tray. The seal is Aprilaire's original replacement seal. I've been using unbranded pads for many years, this is actually the first time I've had a branded pad since it's brand new. The mount was 100% identical to the mount I replaced. I didn't really need to do this, but the old one was soiled with debris so I decided I didn't need it anymore. The main benefit here, at least for me, is the tray. The tray that came with my unit didn't have anything at the base to direct the water for even distribution. It was just smooth plastic. But the tray included in the kit has a grooved gasket on the bottom which I assume is for even distribution. My old tablet used to have water pooling on the left side (I don't think the device is 100% aligned) and sometimes overflowing. For now, this new tablet seems to be working much better. I can't tell you if these parts are all genuine Aprilaire parts, there was nothing in the original box but a humidifier pad. But every detail seems to be of the same quality and construction. The only difference is in the shell. If this tray is an Aprilaire OEM product I would like to know what was used in my original setup. But the tray is great!
