Review on Reef Octopus 150SSS Protein Skimmer by Bridgette Andrada

I wanted to try this Reef Octopus Elite 150-SSS, I currently have a Magus 7 bubble curve that works well. I wanted a regulated DC pump and this was perfect. I still have to install and try it out. I will update the review once it's cracked and installed. UPDATE: 8/16/18 After running for 9 days I can say it is easy to set up and started skimming muddy dirt within 48 hours. I have it at a depth of 7.5 inches, it works perfectly and is very quiet. He never overfilled the drip tray. The additional float switch is an ingenious addition that sets this skimmer apart from the rest. Time will tell how it will rise. Will update in a month or so. Update: 4/3/19 Still runs like a champ. Had no problems. It still brings out a lot of dirt. Now I'm a regular customer of the octopus. No problem.
