I have an LG V30 in a Spigen Neo Hybrid case and was looking for a armband to wear while running. This headband fits him perfectly - the Neo Hybrid has a thin case so a thicker case might not fit. Inserting and removing the phone is quite easy. I am a woman of small stature and it looks very large on my shoulder but works well and still holds up well. I wear Bluetooth headphones, which have easy volume control, but you can feel the volume rocker through the case when needed. If you are using wired headphones, the pull tab on the wristband works well to avoid cable slack. I love the neon yellow color - it adds a bit of visibility and blends in with my watch. Overall I am very happy with the bandage and would buy it again. Update: A year later this association is still holding. Now I have a Google Pixel 3a and it fits with a case.
