They're terrible for kites and windmills
They are carried by about 15 waxed strings, so if one of the strings gets twisted the kite won't fly. This is a great buy if you want to look like an idiot and your kids will be mad at you and sulking for the rest of the day while other parents who bought actual kites that worked shook their heads in disbelief at your purchase decision.
