In fact, I found that my new microwave oven let through a significant amount of radiation, for example 7.5 mW/cm2, and the radiation could be felt up to 1.5 meters from the doors. There are no leaks on the back and sides. At this point I wondered if I believed the meter. However, the lack of detection on the sides when there is one on the front is strong evidence that something is wrong with the microwave and I will be returning it. I also tested another microwave with this unit and it put out too much current only a short distance from the doors and the current leakage dropped off quickly with distance. As this is such a cheap product and the calibration has not been verified (attested) I have my doubts but for me it has done a great job. I think it's a good product and would recommend it.
