Honestly at first I thought it would just fall out of my mouth and not even work. I have a small mouth but I had to match what he said for a small mouth to make it work I guess. In any case, I've been wearing mouthguards for years, both dentally manufactured and over-the-counter. I hate wearing them. I have a small mouth and can't breathe with so much plastic in my mouth so I usually take them out of my mouth when I'm usually asleep and have to go find them the next morning. The one I've tried doesn't choke me AND it really works! It takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it works great! I only let it come out once a night compared to almost every night with other mouthguards that I took off while I slept because they were so restrictive and couldn't handle a mouthful of plastic. That's exactly the amount of plastic needed in the mouth. I'm so glad I found this!
