Review on Hikari Sales USA N Prazipro by Misty Good

Seems to be reef safe in fish and aquatic animals

I have dosed PraziPro twice now in my small reef tank a week apart. I had two clowns, a grandmother, a guard bull and a neon bull. The clowns and granny had been rubbing each other in the sand for weeks; Neon looks gossamer, with spots. I diagnosed flukes, although I wasn't sure; Swimming in fresh water seemed risky and I still wouldn't be able to catch all of these fish in my tank. So one evening I took a 3ml dose. The next morning the bull was dead. Everything else (zoas, hermits, shrimps, snails) was ok. Curiously, the most affected fish, the neons (which internet forums say are susceptible to infection) died after treatment. It's possible that the leeches react to the drugs and cause more damage to the fish when they die (as the Wikipedia article on praziquantel suggests). I took my dose again this morning because the clowns and grandma are still itchy. Within minutes, the Gram was shaking and rattling like never before. It seems that this is another reaction of leeches to the drug. So now let's see. The clowns, who appear to be somewhat resistant to trematodes, seem to be doing just fine, although they continue to scrape at the sand. Dose in the tank, we'll see. The bottle says "extremely safe" and you can dose about every 5 days. But does it degrade or accumulate in the tank?
