Review on LATCH.IT - Keyless RV Door Lock For Secure And Convenient Entry by Mike Rajput

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The "metal construction " snapped after 13 months. *update* they honored the warranty

Until today, I'd have given this a "fine" rating. The plastic cover on one of our numbers split where my kid pushed with a fingernail, and the inside pull handle is too small, IMO. But by and large, it's been dependable. Closed nicely & smoothly, fit was excellent, etc. It's been fine. But today the metal part that gets turned by the interior handle to push open the spring-loaded latch just snapped clean off. If I hadn't been outside when my wife tried to open the door, we've have been locked inside! I had to get a screwdriver and remove the interior half of the assembly so we can use the screwdriver in the morning to push the latch open manually. I bought this instead of the RVLock because I liked the sturdiness of "all metal construction" as opposed to the RVLock's plastic. Whoops! I've contacted Latch.it, and will update this review if/when I hear back.*UPDATE*They sent me a new interior plate. Shipped it to the RV park we're at, received it today and just installed it. Good as new, didn't even have to reprogram the entry code. I'm changing this from 1-star to 3-stars. A bad casting can happen to anyone, and they backed their product. OTOH, a 5-star to me means no issues.

Cons
