Review on Realtek Chipset Ethernet Interface Software by Eric Budd

I put this card in a PC with firewall software installed and it loses LAN connection every 1-10 days. I replaced this card with an Intel Ethernet card about 25 days ago and haven't had any problems since. In the future I will avoid chipset cards from Realtek. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. PS I suspect this would be fine for the desktop of the home user who shuts down the machine daily and uses the computer little.
