I've bought a few cheap testers over the last few years. They tend to be inaccurate, fail, and worse, use exotic batteries that are hard to come by. The equally inexpensive Triplet 1101-B is a class better. The display is nice and large and can be backlit if necessary. The device is solid and so far very accurate. Two features I really like are the included alligator clips that screw onto the sensors. This allows for hands-free testing, which is great for my motorcycle projects. Another great feature is that it turns off automatically if you forget to do it yourself. There's nothing worse than reaching for a tester, only to find the battery died because you left it on the last time you used it. One minor thing I personally don't like is that the "Hold" button that holds the last reading is easily accidentally turned on. This can cause confusion. All in all, this is the best multimeter I have ever bought.
