After reading other reviews I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this product. But I like it a lot and so does my son. He is 11 months old and loves to play with the constant flow of water and cups. The moving gears are a bit advanced for that. This item is battery operated. Turns on and off with a simple click of the orange Google eyes. And so because I've used it about 13 times, for at least 15 minutes each time, and I haven't changed the batteries yet. This is probably an item I would buy for others as birthday gifts or children's parties. It's worth it!
