I HATE crumbs and used a razor scraper and paper towels to clean my very large kitchen island. I never liked the scraper idea but it worked, I cleaned it well and changed my razor often. Still probably not the best tool. I saw an ad for a similar product but with more typical whisk bristles, and while I LOVE the idea, I was wondering how hygienic these bristles would be after a few uses. Read a few reviews about it and the reviewer pointed to this OXO scraper that was made entirely of silicone! PERFECT as it can be washed in the dishwasher! Received it yesterday and can't believe how much paper towels I'm saving. The only downside is that there's little resistance (bump effect!) when brushing crumbs or particularly wet food (shredded lettuce is a good example) down the sink. I'm very happy with it and don't waste so many paper towels.
