fell apart after 14 months in California weather

I have been using Silblades for many years. Replaced the Bosch wiper blades (not cleaned) on my current car, on them in August 2019, today I went to the wipers and there was a piece dangling on this one which is on the passenger side. They store something under the hood so they aren't fully exposed to UV rays. When reading their description, they specifically describe the blades as 'years not months' otherwise I would just go ahead and buy new ones. Tried another brand and they might lose a customer.
