Stop comparing and order this

Probably the best hand blender available today. The handle is one piece so it doesn't leak like Kitchen Aid models with different attachments. It also doesn't soak up liquid over time like the Cuisinart models (where you take it apart after a few uses only to find dirt has sucked the internal rotation into the mounting area). It has plenty of performance that can be dialed up or down. Best of all, it has NO safety button or switch, so you can just use it to pulse and slide your food - with just one hand. What I didn't realize was how big this thing is - way bigger than the average plastic brown I've grown. on from. However, I was disappointed that the base is too big to fit in a glass jar. Hell, it's even too big to fit in the bottom of the stainless steel tumbler they advertise as an optional item. (Nice mug, just can't use it with this thing.) I use a 4-cup Pyrex glass jug to mix things up when they're not in the pot. This big foot makes it stable to stand alone. Now it takes time to make a smooth smoothie, and it's not Vitamix, but it costs less than a hundred dollars. I don't mind a little texture in my drinks. It still performs better than your average blender on any given day. Storage is another issue. It stands well on its own but is too big for a closet unless disassembled. I keep mine in a plastic container that bags of alternative flours are kept in. It is best to make a bracket to hang it on the wall. Oh, and make sure it CLICKS as it spins the nozzle onto the motor. It also works when it's not latched, but it comes loose too easily when you remove it. I used it this way the first few times. I was afraid to "force" it further to match the lock icon.
