I first used this on an Asus Z390-A Prime MB with a Corsair H115I Pro. The threaded tabs on this backplate sit flush with the front of the motherboard as it should. This eliminates the need for a plastic backing and offers a bit more rigidity than the AIO backplates I've looked at. I definitely recommend it. Leave the plastic on.
