Sink picks up hair and dirt which is good , but also allows for blackening and white, mold-like substances to grow into openings and flanges. I don't know the best way to clean this thing or stop it from growing disgusting, slimy, smelly organics. Another issue is that I expect the small flanges on the bottom to break long before the rest of the device becomes rigid or unusable. The material is thin and brittle. Finally, I wish the device wasn't so high up the drain. In general, I prefer using SinkShroom over a regular "plug", but cleaning tips can help. Ideally, the cork material should prevent the biomaterial from growing.
