In comparison, this model produces a much more reliable image under similar circumstances. It's not day and night (pun intended), it's just a very noticeable update. TL; DR - Get this in place of the previous model for all your portable projector needs. If you already have a predecessor, you're still in good hands. Only upgrade if you need a better daily power range.
