This product did not live up to the hype. I read countless reviews and went so far as watching videos of reviews on YouTube, and the general consensus was nearly unanimous that these are the best solder connectors.I used the blue connectors to reattach three 16GA wires. Out of three connectors used, only one band of solder melted. The other two bands reduced in size but never melted to coat the wires in solder. Heat was not the problem because I nearly burned the insulation and the shrink wrap with a heat gun waiting for the solder to melt.In the end, the wires function as they should but certainly not repaired the way it was intended. The tensile strength is very satisfactory. I can only count on these connectors to hold the wires together and not coat them in solder, as they are designed to do. Maybe I have a poor batch, but they are a big disappointment for me.
