Today I replaced my originals that came with the kit with this bar and filter. I went ahead and replaced both at the same time so I could keep up when using the new one. The rod seems softer to me than the one that came with my device. She sucked up dirt well and washed the floor. The filter was covered in dog hair when I took it out to clean, just like the original so I know it sucks like it should. So far, so good. I like the filter brush that comes with the filter, it helps to clean the filter of hair and dust after use. I really feel it helps extend the life of the filter. I use my device ok. three times a week, and each time I wash the bar and filter. After about five or six uses (seven rooms each) my candy bar started to smell like wet dog and had to be replaced. I clean them after every use, but given the purpose of the device I assume they will need to be replaced frequently. The price is quite steep considering you get bars and four filters each. It's worth it and I will buy it again. I will update if anything changes. UPDATE: I used my stick and filter vacuum again today from this seller. My device started making a horrible squeaking noise and stopped picking up water or dirt/hair. I replaced the rod and filter back with the ones that came with my unit and it worked as intended again. It started sucking up dirt/water and stopped making that horrible noise. I will start buying them from Bissell to keep my unit working properly and without risk of permanent damage.
