AVOID THIS TAPE - Two broken titanium needles

This material is extremely difficult to separate from the substrate. Sticks VERY well. You have to work in small areas or it will stick to everything around you. We used this on striped fabric to fold the raw edge over to sew onto the jacket. At first it looked like it would be great, she kept a nice crisp crease along the line of the strip and while it was a slow process to do it in small sections it seemed to work. Then we started sewing it onto the jacket. An absolute disaster. You cannot flash this material. It pricks the needle so fast and so hard that it literally sticks to the bobbin thread and either pulls it all the way out of the bobbin case or the bobbin becomes completely dead, causing the needle to release the thread on its own. It took forever to sew just one side of the strip. After he took the spool out of the case for the fourth time, we couldn't even rethread that needle because the eyelet was half filled with gum. I even tried cleaning the needle and it absolutely does not come off. I had to insert a new needle to finish the other side of the strip. I had the exact same experience with this site and had to change the needle again when it was all done. For reference, this was done on polyester/cotton fabric using a Baby Lock Intermediate sewing machine with Organ 15X1 HAX1 #90/14 Titanium Flat. tail pins. Not even the titanium coating could compete with this band.
