I grew up with Brio trains and wanted to share them with my son. He likes steam locomotives, but not the more modern diesel-electric cars. I bought it for him and he just loves it. The way the wheels move the piston back and forth is both simple and ingenious, and has (so far) withstood all the abuse a toddler can and will throw at their favorite toy, including some descents on our wooden ladder. I have read other reviews of sticking pistons but this has never happened to us and we have been using the engine daily for at least four months. I highly recommend it.
